Ogden Communications, Inc. (OCI) was officially formed on July 1, 2003 as the result of the reorganization Ogden Telephone Company (OTC). The increasing changes in the telecommunications industry have prompted this action. OCI is a Holding Company for Ogden Telephone Company, Ogden Long Distance, Ogdentelnet, and the Great Lakes Comnet interest. OCI has 171 stockholders and 80,377 shares outstanding. The annual meeting of the Company is held the 4th Monday of June.

Ogden Telephone Company is the Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier for the Ogden Center Exchange. It was formed in 1910 with 149 Shareholders who paid $25.00 for a share of stock. It was a Magneto System with an operator at a switchboard until 1969. That year the Company installed a "Stepper Switch" and began using the General Telephone Company operators. Through the years the Company has gone from the Magneto System, the "Stepper Switch", a Siemens Digital Switch and in 2005 a Coppercom soft switch was installed. In 1989, Ogden won the Federal Communications Commission lottery of spectrum in RSA #9 (which is the lower tier of Michigan south of Jackson). Cass Cellular was formed as a partnership with four other telephone companies to manage the cellular company. Cass Cellular interests were sold to Verizon Wireless in November 2010.

Ogden Long Distance Service, Inc. and Ogdentelnet, Inc. were formed in 2004. These two entities handle long distance resale and internet service. High speed internet was added in 2005. Ogden Wireless high speed broadband internet was added in the summer of 2006.
